Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering everything starting from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies as well as space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. The firm specialized on producing documentaries for corporate clients, which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She is married to her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
